AiM V02551990 — Split 2 Analog FW + 2 TC 50 cm harness

AiM V02551990 is a split harness designed for AiM ACC2, ACC2 Open, ACC3 and ACC3 Open modules. This version provides two analog free-wire inputs and two thermocouple inputs.

This is an installation harness for AiM data acquisition systems. It is not a standalone measurement module, logger or sensor. Its purpose is to connect suitable sensors to a compatible ACC module.

The “FW” designation means free wires. In practice, the analog inputs are not terminated with ready-made sensor connectors, but with wires intended for connection according to the installation diagram. This version is 50 cm long.

What is AiM V02551990 used for?

AiM V02551990 is used to connect sensors to ACC2 or ACC3 modules. ACC modules convert analog and thermocouple sensor signals into data available within the AiM system.

This version is intended for mixed installations: two analog signals and two thermocouple temperature measurements. It can be used when analog sensors, such as pressure or position sensors, need to be combined with temperature sensors in one ACC configuration.

Two analog free-wire inputs and two thermocouple inputs

The V02551990 variant combines free-wire analog inputs with thermocouple inputs. This gives more flexibility when building a custom installation, but it also requires correct wiring according to AiM diagrams and sensor documentation.

  • 2 analog inputs provided as free wires for compatible analog sensors,
  • 2 thermocouple inputs for temperature measurement,
  • 50 cm length for short and tidy connection near the ACC module,
  • intended for ACC2, ACC2 Open, ACC3 and ACC3 Open modules.

Free-wire version

The analog inputs in this version are intended for custom wiring in the vehicle installation. They are not terminated with ready-made sensor connectors, so installation requires correct wire assignment, channel assignment and signal ground handling.

This is useful when the installation needs to be built around specific sensors, wiring lengths or vehicle layout. If ready-made connectors are required, another AiM split harness variant should be checked.

Compatibility

The V02551990 harness is intended for AiM ACC2, ACC2 Open, ACC3 and ACC3 Open modules. Before ordering, the selected input configuration should be checked against the planned sensors.

AiM offers different split harnesses: analog, thermocouple, mixed, free-wire and connector versions. For this reason, cable selection should follow the number of sensors, signal types and wiring diagram, not only the product name.

When should you choose this version?

AiM V02551990 is suitable when the ACC installation requires two analog channels and two thermocouple channels, with the analog inputs provided as free wires. It is a practical configuration for mixed data acquisition installations in track, rally, race or test cars.

If four thermocouples, four analog inputs or ready-made analog connectors are required, another AiM split harness variant should be selected. Checking this before ordering helps avoid an incorrect cable choice.

Before ordering, check

  • whether the module is ACC2, ACC2 Open, ACC3 or ACC3 Open,
  • whether a 2 analog + 2 thermocouple input configuration is required,
  • whether the analog inputs should be free-wire inputs,
  • whether the 50 cm cable length is suitable for the installation,
  • whether the analog sensors are compatible with the ACC module inputs,
  • whether the temperature sensors are suitable for thermocouple inputs,
  • whether the channels will be correctly configured in AiM software.

FAQ

Is AiM V02551990 a sensor?

No. It is a split harness for connecting sensors. The sensors and ACC module are separate products.

What does FW mean in the product name?

FW means free wires. The analog inputs are not terminated with ready-made sensor connectors and are intended for wiring into the installation.

How many inputs does V02551990 provide?

This version provides two analog free-wire inputs and two thermocouple inputs.

What is the cable length?

The cable length in this version is 50 cm.

Can this harness be used for four analog sensors?

No. This version has two analog inputs and two thermocouple inputs. For four analog sensors, the correct AiM split harness with four analog inputs should be selected.

Does this harness have ready-made Binder connectors for analog inputs?

No. This is the free-wire analog input version. If Binder sensor connectors are required, another AiM harness variant should be checked.
